My approach as a psychodynamic counsellor is to not only provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore difficult feelings,  but to also think about unconscious processes, and repeating patterns which may have roots in the past but are manifesting in behaviours in the here and now.

Together, through talking on a one-to-one basis, we will look at ways to help you cope better and to make changes in the way you think and behave.

Psychotherapy can be short or long term. The number of sessions will depend on your individual needs and this will be discussed with you during the assessment session.

The initial appointment will be an assessment, during which your individual requirements will be considered in order to move forward.  This can take up to 90 minutes and throughout the session, together, we can explore your needs, hopes and expectations of counselling.

I provide both long term and short term counselling, depending on what your needs might be.

We will then arrange to meet on a regular weekly basis, and the sessions will last for 50 minutes.
